The Tennessee Waltz

My last trip to the 'ville is in two weeks and it cannot come soon enough as I am done.  As I am still trying to stop the Tennessean or as I call it cat box litter lining from being delivered every day to my inbox, I do peruse it to remind myself why I loathe the place.

First up is the sheer mismanagement of the city itself which has put the current Mayor on high alert examining all the tax incentives and other methods of avoidance given to corporations/business to maintain some type of presence in the region.  Most of these have a historic problem of not meeting the expectations that meet simple payback and in turn lead to further costs to the city in which to meet the obligations they agreed to during the negotiations.  In other words it includes anal in the fucking over.

First up is the hysteria about the soccer stadium boondoggle that the former former Mayor (Berry for those who have lost count, the woman who literally fucked her career away) agreed to and found that deal tied up in the courts; Her predecessor did little to alter that deal and then more hysteria began in pursuit of NASCAR while the city itself realized it was 35 million in debt.  So he was busy trying varying strategies to find said money while stiffing Teachers and other Municipal employees in the bargaining process.  Remember this is a right to work state and there is no collective bargaining allowed which means basically these groups of needed employees have to do anal regardless.

The current Mayor decided to be the Pimp and renegotiate the current deals on the plate but it doesn't change the fact that people have to eat and so the varying municipal workers are back on the street getting fucked daily for day labor rates but at least they can say no to anything bareback. Safe sex please as the streets sure as fuck are not safe but as long as tourists are not aware of this its all good.

Right now the rich fucks who like to suck, fuck, hump and thump the town to meet their needs are not happy customers and are angry that they won't be getting that special stadium in which to fuck over the town in pursuit of satisfying their endless egos. So the Mayor took to the press to try to explain it to the great unwashed. As if they read the paper.  And he seems to be pissing on all their happy places and they are not into Golden Showers.

But then again there is one thing they do read and that is the Book of Myths and that is likely now to become the official book of the State.

When Rep. Jerry Sexton, R-Bean Station, introduced a bill in February 2015 to make the Bible the official book of Tennessee, it took the proposal more than a year to make it to then-Gov. Bill Haslam's desk.

The House approved the measure with a 55-38 vote in April 2015. The Senate delayed action until 2016 when it approved the bill with a 19-8 vote.

Days later, Haslam vetoed the bill, citing constitutional concerns. As a result the House tried to override the governor's action but failed with a 43-50 vote.

At the time, the House was under then-Speaker Beth Harwell's leadership, while the Senate was led by then-Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey, both of whom voted against the measure.

This year, Sexton's Bible bill is back and much has changed, including the leaders of both chambers and a new governor.

Asked Thursday about the renewed push, House Speaker Cameron Sexton, R-Crossville, said, "I would assume I don’t think the House has changed as much to where it might not pass. I think it would pass but until it gets into committee I don’t know."

The speaker, who voted against the bill in 2015 and 2016, said he didn't remember much of the debate or the constitutional concerns raised.

"I know the debate was long and it was about whether you want to put the Bible into our realm," he said. "But at the end of the day as I recall I think it passed. I can’t foresee it not doing the same this year."

To that I say:  Jesus H. Christ.

Meanwhile Richie Rich has found more important subjects to debate and that is the Stadium. If lawsuits and threats did not work this time they may as they have already started the whine patrol and they are not happy with this delay.  So I know let's pass a law to circumvent that, another common strategy in the state.  Funny how hate laws have no such problem gaining ground and support despite the reality of where the money and who the money comes from - in other words all kinds of people.

Companies considering relocating or expanding in Tennessee have voiced their concerns to Lee's administration. Tennessee economic development officials in the past have disagreed that such conversations come up. A recent Associated Press story revealed several companies urged Gov. Lee to prevent the adoption law. The issue has come up between Lee and officials at Oracle, a company the state is reportedly seeking to recruit, Woolley said.
For Ian Ayre, CEO of Nashville SC, a commitment that the new soccer team would serve all Nashvillians and be an inclusive organization was part of the appeal to move to Music City from Liverpool. A new Tennessee law that allows adoption agencies to discriminate against LGBT couples does not align with that ethos, he said.

But wait could Music City also be affected?  Shit those tourists and money makers might go shake it elsewhere..

Matt Signore, chief operating officer of Warner Music Group, said job candidates ask questions about living in Tennessee and whether it is inclusive. Warner's ability to attract strong employees affects the company's trajectory.
"The continued success and growth of our business here depends on our ability to recruit and retain a best-in-class, diverse workforce," Signore said. "These bills send a clear message, that LGBT artists, songwriters and employees are not welcome."

What could affect the Stadium and Soccer?!!!  What about all the other lies and bullshit peddled to the idiots who don't vote, don't read and don't give a flying fuck unless they are the power bottoms natch!  Daddy has  got to shoot his load and delaying it is not good as well that can cause all kinds of problems. And there are 99 problems with no solutions so fuck that and let's get stadiums built, get auto racing, soccer, professional baseball and screw the people they are disposable and that is why their schools are garbage dumpsters and place to put the trash.   And this is another example of why state funds for children were not used in the appropriate manner if at all. Gosh kids gotta eat too? Of course that may explain why they are sick but then again they can't get medical care either.

Now why do you think it is that public assistance and overall examination of services and wages for the larger population are ignored? Well racism is the primary reason as that most of the schools and public facilities serve faces of color and what better way of getting rid of them by starving them out in more ways than one. From the cost of housing, the lack of public transport to get jobs, making it difficult to get a license (have a day free good that is how long it takes), having shitty education and of course not give a shit this is a great way of getting rid of those faces who do not share a color of yours.

This is the New South, the old South just with a different kind of racism and classism. They may not have plantations but they have big stadiums that compensate for their small dicks.  Let's all dance and shake it off shall we?  I won't be having a merry making of a time while I am there and this is my last trip so in and out it will be a quick fuck thankful.

ETA: Since I wrote this another legislator is attempting to have legitimate news sites labeled "fake news".  This is Tennessee the land of the stupid, the dumb and the arrogant.
